101 Day of Summer: Day 98

Of course, I have no time to post this. How does that even make sense. Today I tried to sleep in as much as I could. Got some errands done. Then worked 3-11:30. Carrie watched Gossip Girl without me. I'm pretty sure it was the Season Finale too. Since we're talking about GG, I figure I'd post pictures of my all-time favorite shows. Explanations were going to be posted, but I'm not 8 minutes behind for my morning, so that won't work for me.

Until tomorrow,

101 Days of Summer: Day 99

I have no idea how it happened, but I slept until 10ish while Carrie cleaned up the living room and den. The first thing I did when I woke up was clear/make my bed/couch which is something I honestly have only done 6 months out of my entire life. I then cleaned up the contents of my purse which looked like the picture below yesterday.

Then Carrie and her CFA friends (Veronica, Holston [sp], Darius, Emily and James) came over and we went to the pool for a few hours. It felt so nice to get some color on my skin. Afterwards, Darius and I watched almost 2 hours of Sex and the City while Carrie got ready. We then went to Jessica's Graduation Celebration at her church for a couple hours. The potluck there was good but it was wayy too much food for me to handle.

Coming home, Carrie and I watched the new episode of Khloe and Lamar (which I was surprised to find was only 30 minutes long) and then caught up on last week's Gossip Girl (which makes me dislike crazy Charlie).

Until tomorrow,
Selina

101 Days of Summer: Day 100

Slept in until 9 this morning. That was nice. But then Chance was running a bit late so we were rushing. I had Stabucks venti caramel frap for breakfast (with a cookie). Came home and Carrie had made me a frappe, but I forgot to drink it. Got some work done and then got ready for a wedding. Of course, I was running wayyy late. I got out of the shower 5 minutes (no lie) before I had to leave to go to the church. So I rushed and rushed getting makeup and hair ready. Carrie picked out my outfit and let me borrow her top and flats. And I still can't understand why anyone would wear flats by choice. I like my toes to be free. And I like being tall. So... ifk. We looked for me name tag for ever, but couldn't find it anywhere and gave up. I can't even begin to explain to you that nervous/rushed feeling I was having. Definitely wasn't loving it at all and promised myself I'd dedicate tomorrow to cleaning.

So at the church, we just figured out where the flowers should all go and then put petals in little baggies for guests to throw to the happy couple when they walked back up the isle. It was pouring in and out, but the bride didn't get wet before the wedding. Then when the bride's bridal party came we fixed their dresses and gave them their bouquets and pinned the stefania on the flower girls (there were four). I left soon after and went to the Palace to set up for the reception. Of course we got attacked with rain on the way there, so I ended up soaking wettt. Luckiliy the catering services manager there had a hair dryer for me to kind of dry off with. Our room wasn't set up on time, but we worked through it anyways. We set up a few tables there (guestbook, escort cards, etc) and then went on to the second room where we set up the gift table, and gifts for guests. The wedding was beautiful: I loved everything about it: the colors, the decor, the style, everything!

When I came home, I had a huge headache. Carrie and Chance brought up my new TV and we set it all up and figured out what one of the light-switches goes to. I watched the most recent episode of One Tree Hill (and cried my eyes out like a baby) before going to sleep.

Until tomorrow,
Selina

101 Days of Summer: Day 101

Yes, to be completely honest, I got this idea from Carrie but we had talked about it previously and counted up the days together and whatnot. It's funny because we had the hardest time trying to decide between 101, 100 or 99 days of summer. Like which one had a better "ring" to it.

So this is pretty much like Project 365, except it's a reverse countdown until Summer 2011 is over. Granted, I don't have anything exciting (like Summer 2012 in Europe) planned this summer, but you'll see the fun and unexpected surprises of my daily life nontheless. And of course, unlike the two times I tried P265X, this time I'll actually follow through with all 101 days. Promise.

End intro.

So my day started off with me waking up late. Lovely. (Pretty much because Carrie and I had stayed up late watching Season 1 of Gossip Girl.) I was scheduled to work at Nickelodeon at 7:45am and I woke up at 7:04am after I failed to reset my alarm. All frantic, and worried, I rushed to get ready and didn't pack for the day. I got a call from Gina and Cynthia because Cynthia wanted Starbucks for breakfast. So even though I was running late, I stopped at Blue Heron and picked up her cafe' latte' as well as my caramel frap. I clocked in a bit late, but everyone was already so busy that nobody noticed. I read through work emails for a little over an hour and then started working on a couple of projects for the rest of the time. I've personally decided to read all 69 pages of our department's Training Manual and edit the whole thing. Just because.

Around 2:00 I started getting a bit upset/cranky for some reason. Random people just aggravated me. I hadn't taken a break and our cafeteria was closed. A coworker sensed something was wrong, and even though I told her not to, she called her husband and had him bring us some Chinese food. Obviously, after working over 8 hours I didn't get a break, so I ate the food in the parking lot after the shift was over.

Just like every Friday, I came home to get dressed in normal people clothes and then was on my way to Training in Tampa. Chance and I picked up Tom on the way. Training was amazing! I got recognized for my February recruit and got a free sweatshirt from the company! After Training, we went to pick up the TV my mom bought for my new apartment. We stopped at McD's and BK on the way home. Clearly, after arriving home at 12:45am, we just passed out.

Until tomorrow,

MAC Wonder Woman Wish List

First of all, let me explain that I love Wonder Woman. Well... not that much, but my boyfriend loves comics and I always end up watching Batman since that's his favorite. And then I watch other DC and Marvel comics too. But I recently learned that Wonder Woman is GREEK! I'm Greek too, so she became my favorite. (I also love her because of The O.C.) I like Cat Woman too, only because her first name is Selina just like me, but that's a different subject.

So I haven't bought anything from MAC since May. The last items I purchased were from the To The Beach collection last summer. So since it's been 9 months, I think I deserve to buy some more collectible items (which I will be using and not really collecting.)

So... without further adieu, my wish list (shopping list) items:

1. Mighty Aphrodite Blush Duo ($24)
If I were to purchase either of them, I'd choose this one because it has the peach color that I love and adore, and the red color that I don't own. I feel like I already have too many pinks to buy the other one. Plus, this is similar to Ripe Peach, which we all know became very popular very quick.

2. Athena's Kiss Lip Glass ($20)
I'm from Athens. I love Athena. I look SO good with that magenta color on my lips. I think

*Emancipation looks really pretty but I feel that with all the Stila glosses I recently purchased, I can definitely find something similar. Secret Identity also looks pretty, but I don't think browns like that look good at all on me based off my tone.

3. Wonder Woman Lip Glass ($20)
Haha, I never thought I'd be going for something like red, because I always thought red was for old ladies, but I need this! It has glitter in it. And I don't own any red glosses.

* According to Temptalia, if you like the shades of the lip glasses and can see yourself really wearing then, then the price increase is so worth it because for $5.50 more your're getting way more than double.

4. Spitfire Lipstick ($15.50)
I have a lipstick from Victoria's Secret that's close in color proximity, and that magenta-ish color just looks really good on me, so I definitely think I need this.

*Everyone always talks about how Russian Red's the best, but I'll just stick to what I have (along with the Wonder Woman Lip Glass) for now until I decided I need it. I was also thinking about purchasing the Marquise d' but I remembered that a lipstick from the To The Beach collection that I have is pretty similar. Although Marquise d' was really popular last time it came out so it will probably sell out quickly.

5. Army of Amazons Opulash Mascara ($15)
Definitely don't own anything like this. It'd be fun to try. And green looks good on my honey eyes.

6. Themyscira Opulash Mascara ($15)
This is kind of a maybe item for me. I'm just not sure how often I'll wear blue, green, and purple mascaras in the next few months before they go bad. And I'm not sure how well blue will show up on my lashes. But again, I'd purchase this for all the same reasons as listed above. Oh, and I like the purple tinting in this one!

*I was definitely planning on purchasing the Victorious one as well, but I recently purchased the Amethyst Mascara from the Heidi Klum collection at Victoria's Secret.

So it seems like just a few items, but that's over $100 so I'm okay to stop there. Tell me: what are you wish list items from the line? Do you even have any? What do you think about the packaging? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Until next time,
Selina

Update: Being Sick is No Bueno

Sometimes I feel like I can just stay in bed and live off the internet forever. I've been pretty sick lately (and by lately I mean the last 6 weeks.) Every time I get the drive to film videos, I get discouraged because of the way I look and sound due to being sick. I have tonsillitis. I've seen a lot of doctors. I've tried a lot of different medicine. Now all I can do is wait until March 4th, which is when I'm having surgery. I've had recurring tonsillitis for 8 years now, so I think I'll be okay after that.

Anyways, today I woke up at 10am because my best friend was calling me to tell me she got the job she wanted! I'm so happy for her!! I did my normal daily routine (breakfast in bed) and then ended up staying in bed for hours. It's almost 3:00 now and I'm still here. It's not that I'm lazy, I can be really productive. I guess it's a combination of my being sick, and just my love for so many things on the internet.

I started watching Hellcats last night. I still haven't seen this week's episode because it's not online yet, but I'm excited. I try not to get into too many shows because I honestly don't have time to keep up with them all. Right now, Gossip Girl is my life and it's the only show I plan to watch.

There are so many sites on here. It's insane. And when I'm sick, I online shop a lot, and that's not a good thing. The Hello Kitty line came out at Sephora recently so obviously I made a $50 purchase there yesterday so that I could get free shipping. I got an email today about Ulta's Valentine's Shop, but I wasn't too impressed with much. I mean there was the new John Frieda collection products that I wanted, but they were out of stock. And that's just fine with me because I'll be going to Ulta in a couple hours for a free Dermalogica Facial. I've never had a facial before so I'm kind of nervous and don't know what to do. I washed my face this morning, but haven't done anything since. What am I supposed to do? Maybe I'll look that up.

I was just reading Mel's blog where she talked about the Cake Pops. They look so yummy! So I looked at Erin's site and again, yummy. But Mel's the only person to have ever ordered from her so ... idk. My 3 year anniversary's coming up so I should definitely be thinking about that. And some friend's birthdays are coming up to, cake pops just seem like a good idea.

I've decided it's time to get out of bed and find something else to be productive with. Maybe I'll clean my room... that sounds like a good idea.

Until next time,
Selina

Just Babblin'

Hey everyone,

So I 'm just lying here listening to music and thinking. I'm thinking about doing something grand. Memorable. A challenge. I'm not sure really. Something like a Project 365 where I'll post a picture every day. Or where I'll post a blog everyday. Or maybe a weekly giveaway. Do you see where I'm getting at? Something that I can feel accomplished about, something I can look back on, something that might be a bit difficult at times, but will connect me to everyone more and more.

But then again, I'm sick right now. So maybe it's my sickness talking. Maybe it's the boredom. Maybe it's the medication. Not too sure. But then again, I'm thinking about it.
Anyone have any ideas? I'd love to hear them.

PS: Just for your humor I thought I'd share this:

Haha. I don't like Grapefruit juice, obviously.
But my boyfriend told me to drink some.
And I decided to film myself halfway through.
I'm definitely more of an Orange juice girl. ;)

Stay Beautiful,
Lina Nina
