Happy Fall!

Hello beauties,

I hope you all have a fabulous Fall!!!

I'm so excited that this time is here now. Most years, I look forward to Spring/Summer. This year, I'm so excited about Fall/Winter. I'm excited for the weather, the clothes, the colors, the scents, the food, the holidays, the atmosphere, etc.

Usually Fall reminds me of my dad's birthday, and him leaving us. But this year, I'm surprised to say I'm excited for the new seasons to come. My dad passed away unexpectedly a couple weeks ago, so I know Fall will always be a sad time in my life, but that doesn't mean I have to hate the months completely. Maybe that brought some closure; I'm not sure. I'll probably post a update about that later.

Anyways, I'm posting some pictures below for you all to enjoy. Let me know what your favorite thing about Fall is in the comments!

Until next time,
Selina Christine

Sally Hansen: Frock Star

Hi lovelies,

So I swear I saw a BlogPost yesterday from Kandee Johnson saying that the Sephora by OPI nail art stickers are 1000x better than the Sally Hansen ones. And though I haven't actually tried the Sephora by OPI ones, I have to say that I kind of disagree with her statement. I've tried 2 of the Sally Hansen ones. The first one, I wasn't too fond of. I don't remember much about it, just knew I didn't actually love the pattern. But this week+ I had Frock Star on.

OMG! I was in love. So much glittery goodness!!!

Application:

Okay, this was a bit difficult. Partly because I didn't do it right. I don't really use the file they give you to cut off the excess, I just rip it. And that did cause some of the glitters to come off at the tip of my nail. I was fine with it. Also, you HAVE to take that plastic part off first or else it doesn't work at all. The sizes I had weren't perfect, but they still all worked just fine for me, with some trimming. Honestly though, my pinky nail one did fall off. Twice. I guess I suck on that one too much? idk. But I fixed it by painting it with a dark polish (as well as my tips) so it gave my nails a cool effect.

Wear & Tear:

Honestly, there wasn't much. I had the polish on for 6 days before I started picking at it. It looked amazing even on the sixth day. I got compliments on them EVERYWHERE! I had men at work comment on them, girls loved my nails, salon people asked me what shade/color I was using. My mom said they looked like "jewels" on my nails. I LOVED all the compliments. What I loved even more though is that they were stickers, there was no smell, no dry time needed. And they stayed on so long!

Taking Them Off:
I read another girls' blog who said that these were just like any other glitter polish bomb. I mostly picked all of them off, but then decided to do it properly with nail polish remover. BOY was she right! It took forever to do so with the nail polish remover, that I actually recommend just picking them off.

All of these pictures were taken on the last day (Day 6). You can see they still remained in good condition. Also, I didn't want the camera to focus on some of them, that way you can get the full effect of the shiny-ness. But honestly, they looked MUCH MUCH better in real life.

So I realize this is only one of the Sally Hansen ones. But I definitely recommend this one! I also think that the glitter helped it stay on so long. Have you girls tried these? What do you think?

PS: Someone made a comment about how expensive they are. (I think $10.) Especially since you clearly get 2-4 uses out of them. But I got mine for .99 cents at Goodwill. =)

Stay Beautiful,
LinaNina

101 Days of Summer: Day 4

OMG. How am I at Day 4 left of Summer?!? Time always flies by. =)

I woke up early and went to work today. Go figure. 7:45am-4:45pm. I was starving that morning and even though I have a bunch of cereal boxes, I didn't have any milk. So I stopped at McD's and had a mocha frappe and a #1 sandwich. =)

Work was okay. Crazy, but that's normal. On the way home, I talked to Arianthi a bit. I miss her dearly. It's weird how time can do that too. Once home, I changed and then went to the Florida Mall. I went there hoping one of their two Victoria's Secret stores would have the Agenda that I had 2 years ago. Neither of them had it though. Bummer. So then I went to Lush and recycled 5 pots in order to get a free face mask. I got the Brazen Honey one (for the first time). There were so many things I wanted to purchase, but I'll do that another time. I then stopped at Sephora. My main reason was to ask if the points expire because I learned the hard way through Ulta that they do. But Sephora's don't. So that's good. I liked the point rewards, so I got a sample of the new UltraFlesh Panter mascara. I also got a DDH acne treatment. I loved the lady who checked me out. She was fun! And she made a comment about how she'd never had someone just go there and get freebies, but hey! there's a first for everything. =)

After the mall, Chance and I went to Olive Garden. I had coupons for Carabba's. And somehow I confused the two. But I think Olive Garden pretty price-worthy too. I got some Moscato and Strawberry Lemonade along with calamari for our appetizer. And we both got unlimited breadsticks, salad, and pasta. CRAZY!

Afterwards, I came home and watched a little bit of Sex and the City with Carrie. Then we went on a one-hour walk around the neighborhood and talked about life, weddings, graduationg, etc. It was nice to catch up with her. =)
Of course, my legs felt like jello after that so going up our stairs was no fun. We watched the end of "Sweet Home Alabama" while stretching on yoga mats then. And even though I was exhausted like crazy, I still stayed up past 2am. Mainly looking for an agenda. I looked at Vera Bradley, Lilly Pulitzer, Victoria's Secret, Sarah Pinto, etc. But found nothing. Then Kayla and I talked on the phone a little and she asked if I NEEDED a new one. So I looked at my old Lilly one from last year, and it turns out that that one doesn't finish until December. So even though I'd like a new one, I technically DON'T need one.
Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Days 6-5

So I got off work around 11:00pm last night. That's 30 minutes early. Thank you! Afterwards, Chance picked me up and we drove straight to my mom's. I stayed up so I could keep him awake. But I was clearly out of it. Haha. So we got to my mom's. And I'm not sure why, I but stayed up late just on my sister's laptop.

The following morning, I woke up early. We all got ready for church. It was August 15th, so a religious holiday for us; Dekapentavgousto. We went to a church in Clearwater. It was more of a monastery since the priest is actually a monk. It was so nice. I love everything about it. Such a nice feel even though I'd never been there before. The munk himself was lovely. It was such a nice experience for me. One of the most important lessons I learned is that we can all have Christ in our hearts. <3 Afterwards, we all had lunch there. Fish; even though we're not fasting anymore.

On the way home, we stopped at a local Produce shop. They also had products from Europe, so we got excited and got some drinks and candy. =)
Once home, I did my sister's nails (which reminds me that I need to put up some nail tutorials) and then played with my sisters' hair, in the hopes of filming a video... which never happened.
Afterwards, I went to Publix with my mom and then we all watched "How Do You Know" while eating pizza. I love family time.

The following morning it seemed like everyone slept in. I woke up with a headache. Finally (after noon) I took my sisters, brother and his friend to the High School for Orientation/Registration. My brother got all the classes he needed/wanted, which is good. Afterwards, we all had lunch (along with Chance) at Chick-Fil-A. Once, home, the girls took a nap and the boys played video games. Around 6:00, I started packing up. Wasn't feeling too good.

Then Chance and I went to the Opportunity Meeting. Honestly, it was a sad day. Plus there was a lot of traffic thanks to a ramp being down. I fell asleep on the way home (in between texting with Sara from HCUCF.)

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

Music: Best Thing I Never Had

Last month I posted my favorite song ot the moment, If I Die Young. So of course, I wanted to share with you my favorite song of the moment this month.

What goes around comes back around (hey my baby)
What goes around comes back around (hey my baby)

I say what goes around comes back around (hey my baby)

What goes around comes back around...

There was a time

I thought, that you did everything right

No lies, no wrong

Boy I, must've been outta my mind

\So when I think of the time that I almost loved you

You showed your ass and I saw the real you

Thank God you blew it

Thank God I dodged the bullet
I'm so over you

So baby good lookin' out

[Chorus]
I wanted you bad
I'm so through with that
Cause honestly you turned out to be the best thing I never had
You turned out to be the best thing I never had
And I'm gon' always be the best thing you never had

I bet it sucks to be you right now

So sad, you're hurt

Boo hoo, oh, did you expect me to care?

You don't deserve my tears

I guess that's why they ain't there

When I think that there was a time that I almost loved you

You showed your ass and baby yes I saw the real you

Thank God you blew it

Thank God I dodged the bullet

I'm so over you

Baby good lookin' out

[Chorus]
I wanted you bad
I'm so through with that

Cause honestly you turned out to be the best thing I never had

I said, you turned out to be the best thing I never had

And I'll never be the best thing you never had

Oh baby I bet sucks to be you right now

I know you want me back

It's time to face the facts
That I'm the one that's got away

Lord knows that it would take another place, another time, another world, another life

Thank God I found the good in goodbye

[Chorus]

I used to want you so bad

I'm so through with that

Cause honestly you turned out to be the best thing I never had

You turned out to be the best thing I never had

And I will always be the, best thing you never had.

Best thing you never had!

I used to want you so bad

I'm so through with that

Cause honestly you turned out to be the best thing I never had

Oh you turned out to be the best thing I never had

Oh I will never be the best thing you never had

Oh baby, I bet it sucks to be you right now

Goes around, comes back around
Goes around, comes back around

Bet it sucks to be you right now

Goes around, comes back around
Bet it sucks to be you right now

Goes around, comes back around

Bet it sucks to be you right now

Yes, it repeats itelf a lot. But I love it. Like absolutely in love. I wasn't too fond of the music video (just like If I Die Young). But I love Beyonce. She's such a strong and talented woman. I admire her. She also has a spectacular voice. This is definitely a song you can catch me blaring in my car. And I do sing it about a million times a day. It's constantly in my head. So catchy. If you haven't heard it, wow (it's at 24 million views), but I've attached a link to the music video below. Again, I'd listen to it rather than watch it, if I were you.

YouTube Partner!!!

Congratulations to me!!!

Haha, I'm so excited! I had to pinch myself to make sure this was real life. Hahah.

I received an email recently inviting me to become a partner with YouTube.
At first I thought it was probably spam since I thought they would have contacted me through YouTube. But I read everything. The links were clear and concise, and it's REAL!

After agreeing to their terms and policies, I received a congratulatory email.

I am so happy you guys.
I feel like my life is coming together now.
I know it's such a small step, but it's something I've been secretly wanting for a while now.

And of course, I would like to thank each and every one of you.
We all know this wouldn't have happened without you.

I plan on making a video about this.
At that point, I will post it on here.

Thank you,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Days 12-7

Oh my, oh my, how time is flying. I'm glad that I posted as much as I did. As you can see, I've been slacking lately. I just don't go on the computer daily like I used to before.

The countdown is officially down to one week. I can't believe summer almost over. But inside, I'm glad I made it. It's personal to get into, but summer was a struggle. And I'm happy I survived it.

This week I worked. Surprising, right? I had one day off, which I spent watching Netflix movies and going to Massage Envy. You could tell I was exhausted from working so much. It's definitely catching up to me. And yes, I may be young, but it gets SO tiring!

That's really all I have to say. Boring. I'm sorry. Honest.
But we're almost done with this. =)

Until tomorrow,
(let's hope)

101 Days of Summer: Days 23-13

Hi lovelies! Do you all want to hear my excuse?!? Haha. Basically I hated my format. Honest. It's not really the format, but it's more the font. I couldn't stand the font. It worked just find when I used my Windows Live Writer. But I only have that at home, not at work, so I couldn't update when I was at work (which is mostly what I did.)

Sunday the 31st, I worked from 7:45-4:15. Then I hurried home and got ready because I was hosting a Fashion Swap party. It wasn't very successful since most people were still on vacation. But my sister and her friend were there, as well as my roommate and a friend of hers. So it was a nice small group. I did end up with some super cute tops! =) Afterwards we went to the movies and saw Crazy, Stupid Love. It was super late after all of that. And of course I worked early the next morning, so I pretty much went straight to bed.

Fashion Swap Party:

  1. Have girls bring a minimum of 5 articles of clothing. *Must be in good condition.

  2. For each item they bring, they get a ticket.

  3. Put all of the tickets in a bucket.

  4. Pull out one ticket at a time.

  5. If your ticket is called, you can choose someone else's clothing item.

  6. You can also steal from someone who took something you like. *Up to 3 steals per item.

Monday morning I worked early. Again. Then I had a mandatory 2 hour meeting after work. So I worked over 11 hours. =( But I won a $10 gift card. =) Afterwards, I was starving, so Chance, Tori, Ali and I went out to dinner at Chili's. I love Chili's. I ended up getting 2-for-1 margaritas. I'm not sure why or how, but we ended up talking about some really deep and personal stuff during that dinner. Crazy!?! Afterwards, we all played some Partini before heading off to bed.

Tuesday morning I worked. Are you catching the routine here? After work, we all just hung out for a bit. Then ordered pizza. When Carrie came home, the girls all played Partini. Haha. It was hilarious. And we made smoothies. LOVE!

Wednesday morning, the girls left. It was nice having them around. I worked 10-6:30. And then I got dressed up and went to an appointment that evening. I was exhausted afterwards.

Thursday morning I worked. Ugh, I hate working. This time I got to sleep in. I worked 12-8:30. Then stopped and picked up some pizza because there was a Team Meeting at my place. I feel like I ate most of it. We also got soda. (Not good for me, I know.)

Friday I finally had the day off!! =) I woke up at 9. Did some coupon organizing and then went to WalMart with Carrie. We also stopped at an ice cream place that looked like Twistee Treat. But it definitely wasn't. Such a knock-off. I took some time relaxing in the shower and then got ready for Training in Tampa. We stopped at Hurricane's Ice Cream on the way. Now THAT I recommend. It needed some interior decorating, but the ice cream was good and the prices were reasonable. We were the last ones to leave Training, as always. But I've learned to love that. =)

Saturday morning I worked. Then I stopped at Publix for some quick shopping with Chance. Chance made me a nice pasta dinner tonight. =) Saturday night I watched Goodfellas. Seriously, that took up like all night. I watched it from 8 until 11. And then I gave up. That movie is crazy long!!

Sunday morning I worked. Relaxed a little. Then watched the Teen Choice Awards. And fell asleep. Wow, don't you love my life? Haha.

Monday morning I slept in as much as I could. Then I went to school to figure out my schedule. That took 3 hours out of my life. And the advisor was rude and mean and not helpful at all. I cried. Really. And it's still not resolved, so I have to go back. Blahh! I had a sandwich for lunch. And I worked 3-11:30pm. I was nicer to the guests today. Since we weren't that busy it was the same ones over and over again. I'm tired of being mean to them. And I didn't let the mean ones bother me.

Until tomorrow,
(really this time)
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 34-24

Okay, okay, no bad comments please! Haha. I love how it looks like I took a 10 day vacation. I honestly didn't. I don't know what happened. Life, I guess.

I remember spending a day working on my Blog. I wanted to change the theme. It didn't work out too well. I still need a new theme. =/

My car's broken a bunch. Not sure if you guys know about that. I got 2 new tires cause the others busted. Now another's busted so I have a spare on. I don't have AC. My engine light's on. And now my car will sometimes like stall kinda (I have an automatic) and my battery light will come on. Blahh.

I've talked to my grandpa some this month. I feel like I've already told you guys everything. Hmm.. oh well.

Hope you're all excited for what's to come!!

Until tomorrow (hopefully),
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 35

I woke up in a pretty lazy mood this morning. I didn’t feel like doing anything. And then those moments when I did, I couldn’t think of anything to do (when honestly I have a million things I need to do.)

So the morning, flew by and then I started getting ready for our Opportunity Meeting. We picked up Sergio, Gabe, and Freshka on the way. We were rushing, but stopped for some drinks at a gas station. They were all out of my favorite aloe drink, so I had to settle for a peach flavored aloe water. Oh well.

Meeting went well and then talked to my family a bit afterwards. Once again, real life stuff. It was nice seeing my sister. And I’m really thinking about taking a week off and going home.

Afterwards, we stopped at Village Inn and I had some breakfast. We all devoured our food; you could tell we were hungry. I fell asleep on the way back, as usual. And we got home around 2am, as usual.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 37

As if I didn’t wake up late enough yesterday, I woke up at 7:27am today. Ughh. Why. I really need an alarm clock that will wake me up. Our security alarm didn’t wake me up. Boo.

So work from 7:45-3:45. No lunch again. And once again the day went by kinda quick. That’s always good.

But once I got home, I got exhausted. Not sure what happened. Maybe it’s the weather. Maybe because it was Sunday. Not quite sure.

Worked on some Primerica stuff. Wish I had more time to do that. Chance went out. I fell asleep while reading “The Sharpe Focus”.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 38

I woke up at 7:07am this morning. No good considering I had to be at work by 7:45am. But I made it there 4 minutes late. Yeah, I’m a pro. For some reason my “check engine” light wasn’t on. Odd.

At work, I was at the Front Desk for about an hour. Talked to Derek a little. Then when Christy and Ivan came in, I went to Guest Services, my usual station. The day went by rather quickly. Started STARVING around 1pm. But I distracted myself so I would be able to leave early without a lunch break. My last hour was my busiest. And one of the computers froze. So I ended up staying later. So much for leaving early. Did some overtime today, which is fine because I can leave early later on this week.

I talked on the phone with my grandpa for a bit afterwards. Then had a talk with Chance. I started crying. I don’t like thinking about the real world sometimes. I’d rather live in my little bubble. It’s just sad how people aren’t who you expect them to be. And how people have the choice to be who they want and sometimes it’s not what you want. I think I just repeated myself, but the point is I got emotional.

I made some Bagel Bites for lunch/dinner. Then I got my coupons ready and went to Publix with Carrie. Afterwards, Matt came over and Chance and I watched “40 Year Old Virgin” on TV while eating some mint chocolate chip ice cream.

I was tired afterwards. Pretty exhausted. So off to sleep, it was.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

Tag: Would You Rather

I read ElleandBlair daily. Here's a fun tag Elle put up yesterday. Though I'd answer it as well.

  1. Would you rather walk around all day with you skirt tucked in your underwear or be seen wearing a really see through dress?
I'm fine with the see-through dress. Been there done that.

  2. Would you rather go to a party and not realize until the end of the night that you have lipstick on your teeth or that your fake lashes are coming unglued?
Oooh. This is a toughie. I'd say lashes though. I feel like more people look at my lips/smile. But... if it was like a super sheer lipstick, I'd choose that. Even though I think that's cheating.

  3. Would you rather forget to put mascara on one eye or forget blush on one side of your face?
Blush. The way I do it, I think it'd be less noticeable.

  4. Would you rather wear lipstick/lipliner combo or frosty blue eyeshadow?
I can pull off the frosty blue. Trust me. :)

  5. Would you rather wear foundation that is two shades too light or go way overboard on bronzer?
Oh man. This is tough. Foundation. =(

  6. Would you rather drink an entire bottle of ketchup or run into the guy who broke your heart on a bad hair day when your skin is freaking out?
I like ketchup. Don't think I could drink a bottle of it though. There's no guy that broke my heart though. I used to think there was. But that's not the case. I'd still choose the second option though.

  7. Would you rather be able to date any celeb you wanted or wake up with perfect red carpet-worthy hair?
    Hair. Celebrities are over-rated.

  8. Would you rather your armpits smell musky or like delicious lasagna?
Musky. I think. Not sure. Lasagna would make me feel sick. I think.

  9. Would you rather give up your makeup or cell phone for one year?
Cell phone. Because I could get an ipad and use it as a phone.

  10. Would you rather run into a cute guy you like with food all in your grill or no makeup at all?
No makeup at all. So he can like me for me.

Stay Beautiful,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 39

I tried sleeping in. Just couldn't. Woke up at 9:30am. Spent some time online again. I'm working on some partnerships that I'm sure you'll all be happy about. I followed up with some people and then booked an interview.

When I was ready to leave the apartment, it started POURING. Like crazy rain. Thunderstorm. Blinding. Flooding. Heavy. Invinceble. Rain. There was no way around it. Umbrella did nothing. Trash bag did nothing. I got soaked. Hair got ruined. Heel broke. The rain was SIDEWAYS. And then of course, a little while after being in the car, it stopped. Completely. That's my life.

Interview went well. I should've personally done it though. The interview was at Starbucks. I had lunch there. Wasn't too impressed. I guess my Starbucks days are over? Hah, maybe not. My goal is 5 recruits this month. I'm proud of my accomplishments though. I got recognized THREE times at Training tonight. That's awesome, if I do say so myself. I was the Top Personal Recruiter for June. Yay me! We stopped at McD's on the way home. Surprised? And went to bed around 2:30am. Again.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 40

My "check engine" light came on today. No fun. I honestly think my least favorite thing in the world is when my car breaks. Or fixing my car. I just think cars should always work. Maybe it's because I feel like I'm putting so much money into it anyways with the gas prices soaring, that adding more for broken things just doesn't make me feel too good. Plus, I'm a girl, and I don't know that much about cars, so I often think I'm being taken advantage of.

So then I worked 1-9:30pm. Don't really like mid shifts. I just feel like when I work a mid, that I'm working ALLLLL day. But the day went well. I cleaned & organized, which I like doing. I also trained some people so that was good. Note: I don't get paid to do the above.

After work, Chance went to Sergio's. I stayed home and spent sometime online. I don't know why. But I felt weird. Like unsafe. So I had locked myself in my room that night. Chance finally left Sergio's around 2am. So again, I was up late. But I didn't mind much since I had the next day off. Chance and I had some ice cream around 2:30am.

Until tomorrow,
Selina C. Mullenax

101 Days of Summer: Day 41

Hump day. Why’s it called that? Cause it’s in the middle of the week? idk.

No work today. But I still managed to sleep in a bit.

Cereal for breakfast. Then I worked on some figures for Primerica. Consulted Rob about it. Maria passed her state exam. Had some technical difficulties at Kinko’s and ended up just buying some ink. Got a package from Bathrodite with 4 samples and 3 full size. Had some Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Fell asleep on the way there. Had my hair all scrunched. Got another headache. Arrived in NPR just in time for an appointment. Baby Phil is so cute. Overcame objections. Got to hang out and catch up a bit with Jenny. Got home a little after 2am. Talked to Carrie a bit. Had Ovaltine. Straight to bed.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 42

I can’t remember what I did in the morning for the life of me. No memory of it at all. Oh well.

Worked 3-10:30. I got out early because I had some overtime built up for the week. Chance picked me up from work. I was falling asleep on the way home. Once home, Ron & Elmary were there. The brought pizza and soda. We went over some things and ended up staying up until 1:30am. At which point, I went straight to sleep.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

Shopping: CVS Steals

Who doesn't love free? I've been couponing for over a year now. I just don't see why people would pay for things when you can get them for ... free. Here's a few beauty realted things I picked up this week.

Balance bars were free. But you can only get one. Their cost was $1.69, but they gave you $1.69 in extrabucks. Therefore they were completely free. I didn't get this yogurt honey flavor, I got mine in a chocolate flavor.

The deal with this was that if you purchase $15 dollars worth of Garnier products, you get $5 in extrabucks. The Garnier Moisture Rescue products were on sale for $5. I already use the two moisturizers. I love the gel one. They're so cooling and refreshing and I love the way they smell. They were all out of the foam cleansers which I was sad about, but oh well. I got an extra gel moisturizer since I'm almost out of mine. And then one of each for Carrie. Total was $15 so we got $5 extrabucks back. I also had coupons (from May 1st's Red Plum booklet) for $2 off a Garnier cleanser or moisturizer. Since I got 3 products, I used 3 coupons. I spent a total of $4 for three moisturizers. That's equal to $1.33 each. Yeah, buddy!

The original price for this was $6.99. CVS is having a special where they are giving you $3 in extrabucks when you purchase one. So now it's really costing you $3.99. I had a coupon (from July 10th's Smart Source) for $3 off of a Soleil razor. My store was all of out razors, so the manager let me get the cartridges using my coupons instead. So I got a cartridge of 4 of the new BIC Soleil Shimmer for 99 cents.

What deals have you gotten lately?

Stay Beautiful,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 43

AM shift again. I apologize that my posts are boring and about me working. Boo. On the other hand, I've been getting really good at doing my makeup quickly getting to work on time. So work from 7:45-3:45. I left early today because I didn't get a lunch break. No breakfast today either, so I was starving.

Once I got home, I worked on my coupon lists and got together all my coupons. Carrie, Matt and I then went to Olive Garden for lunch/dinner. Matt wasn't feeling well so we dropped him off before going shopping. Carrie and I then went to Publix. Spent a while there and grocery shopped too. Then we went to CVS and lastly, Target. We put all our stuff away and hung out for a bit watching Sex and the City. Then Darius came over and we watched Chelsea Lately. Chance had taken my laptop so I was having withdrawals and I ended up falling asleep around 12am.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 44

Woke up rather late again. Late for work, I mean. Still, I stopped by McD's and got a #1 sandwich. Don't remember what it's called. I also started my morning off with a small caramel frappe. Yummm!

Worked 7:45-4:15. No comment there. It was slower than yesterday, which is good because I got some work done. Haha. After work, it looked like it was going to rain. It's been raining for about a month now. Kinda getting tired of it. No lunch break again so I was starving.

*From not eating lately, I've been getting weak, and dizzy and headaches. It's really bad. I realize that. I just have been having trouble finding time.

Chance and I went to Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney. No waiting thanks to me have a VIP card. I felt like the portions were small. But the food was all yummy. Drinks too! I got the Transformers drink. Chance got the Dark Knight. We'd never been there before. Pleased. It was just too busy. So we'll be going back in a couple of months when all the tourists are gone. I had the Pomodoro. I have pasta at home, I just like their picture of it. I had some Disney gift cards so it didn't end up costing me much.

We stopped at Publix on the way home and picked up some ice cream. Mint Brownie and Chocolate 1/2 fat. Mr. & Mrs. Smith was on TV so I watched that. Chance and Carrie joined in and out. Chance got me some ice cream. I finally used my new socks from Ulta that I got a couple weeks ago. My feet felt so smooth!

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

Music: If I Die Young

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a, bed of roses
Sink me in the river, at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

Uh oh, uh oh

Lord make me a rainbow, I'll shine down on my mother
She'll know I'm safe with you when she stands under my colors,
oh and
Life ain't always what you think it ought to be, no
Ain't even grey, but she buries her baby
The sharp knife of a short life, well
I've had, just enough time

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a, bed of roses
Sink me in the river, at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song
The sharp knife of a short life, well
I've had, just enough time

And I'll be wearing white, when I come into your kingdom
I'm as green as the ring on my little, cold finger, I've
Never known the lovin' of a man
But it sure felt nice when he was holding my hand, there's a
Boy here in town who says he'll love me forever,
Who would have thought forever could be severed by
The sharp knife of a short life, well,
I've had, just enough time

So put on your best boys and I'll wear my pearls
What I never did is done
A penny for my thoughts, oh no, I'll sell them for a dollar
They're worth so much more after I'm a goner
And maybe then you'll hear the words I been singin'
Funny when you're dead how people start listenin'

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a, bed of roses
Sink me in the river, at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

Uh oh (uh, oh)
The ballad of a dove (uh, oh)
Go with peace and love
Gather up your tears, keep 'em in your pocket
Save them for a time when you're really gonna need them, oh

The sharp knife of a short life, well
I've had, just enough time
So put on your best boys and I'll wear my pearls

I love this song. It's beautiful. Love the music and the lyrics. Honestly love everything about it. Except the video; that confused me. It just reminds me that life is short. That even young people die. That nobody is promised tomorrow. It makes me feel even more proud of what I'm doing. Love. Pure love. Obviously, this is one of my favorite songs right now. And it's my ringtone. =D

101 Days of Summer: Day 45

Woke up around 7am for work. I had to be there by 7:45am. Blahh. Work was pretty busy all day. I should've seen that coming since it's Saturday. But really, I was non-stop busy. Derek brought donuts for breakfast (such a lifesaver since I hadn't eaten anything.) For lunch, I had free cotton candy. Yyyeah, not doing too good on staying healthy.

After work, I was starving. But I was on the phone with Tech Support for a little while. By the time Chance and I were ready for food it was about 7pm. We went to Kinko's but they were closed. Then we used 2 GPSes to find a Chili's. There was one within 2 miles. We couldn't find it. We drove all over the place for an HOUR! Yes, really. It was incredible. And of course when we got there I was beyond hungry. We got the 2 for $20 deal and their drinks were pretty much all 2 for 1 (except Top Shelf). Chance ordered Blue Moon and I got a Pomegranite Margarita. My drink was way too strong for me though. And our lovely waiter didn't charge me for it. (More tip for him.) For food I tried something new, margarita crusted chicken. I'm not sure if it's because I was starving, but I loved all the flavors. Yum!

Stopped at Amscot on the way home. I was thinking ice cream, but I put it off. Once, home we watched the Shaytards, of course. Then Carrie and Matt came over and we all hung out and talked a bit. We all planned a double-date for tomorrow night at 7pm at Planet Hollywood. Yay for more eating out! Ugh, you can tell I need to go grocery shopping. Blahh.

Before bed, I got a terrible headache. Hurt really bad. Decided just to sleep it off.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 46

Is it sad that everytime I think of Friday, I think of Rebecca Black? I won't say anything about it this time.

Surprisingly I had the day off. Works for me. Slept in until 11am. Holy cow. I guess I took my time getting ready. Sergio met us and we left around 3pm. Stopped at Panera for lunch since I haden't eaten any breakfast. So we were running a little late to an appointment. I painted my nails with OPI's Melon of Troy while on the way. Met with Andrew in Wesley Chapel at 5:30pm. Got some Starbucks and went to Training.

Training was good except a lot of the team wasn't there. Oh well. Maybe next time. I'm not going to push people to achieve freedom and have all their dreams come true. That's on you. Yes, I can be your coach, but I have a different approach right now. Yes, it may change, but for now I'll work with it.

After Training, we stopped at McD's. Our food took 20 minutes to come out. Really? Once home, we were exhausted and I went straight to bed.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 47

I’m surprised I’m still doing this. Yay me. Haha.

This morning, I woke up when I felt like it. Spent some time online.(When I say that it means twitter, youtube, facebook, blogspot, etsy.) Drove to The Loop to give Chance his laptop. Stopped by Circle K and got some gas. Got ready for work. Drove to Kinko’s to pick up Chance.

Worked 1-9:30. I don’t like that shift. I don’t like 12-8:30 either. I feel like that’s an ALL day shift. For lunch I had a lunchable and chocolate milk with pringles. Not healthy, I know. I also tried Hershey’s new Aerated chocolate bar. It was okay. The day went by pretty quickly but that’s cause I was constantly busy. Non-stop line. I talked for about 8 hours straight.

After work, we stopped by Little Caesar's and even though they advertise Hot n Ready, they didn’t have any pizzas ready. Boo. So we went home and I ordered Pizza Hut. We had a meeting from 10-2. Half the people left at 1, but others left at 2. I love everyone’s energy. And I really need to start talking to more people.

Then Chance and I watched the Shaytards. We’ve gotten in a routine of watching them every night. It’s the only channel he likes thanks to the cute little kids. And of course, 2:30am calls for bedtime.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

Tag: Beauty

I love doing these tags. I remember doing them ALL THE TIME back in the MySpace days. Haha. This one I found here and I thought I should try it out.

SKINCARE
-How many times do you wash your face daily?
*I’ve been averaging once a day lately. In the morning. I know I should do it at night, but honestly, I’ve just been using a makeup-removing wipe at night and I don’t think that counts as cleaning it. Maybe if  get a good skincare process in line I’ll go back to doing it twice a day.

-What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)
*I always thought I had dry skin. Always. But then I got a facial and the specialist told me that I had normal to oily skin due to my oily T-zone. Do you realize how many products I’ve used for dry skin and I probably caused the oiliness on my own?!? Oh well, at least now I know.

-What is your current facial wash?

*I’m thinking I don’t anymore. I mean I’ll have the occasional one, but it’s not as bad as it used to be. Yes, I did.

-Did you ever have to use Pro-active?
*Have to use it? Weird. I tried it. Can’t say it worked.

* Either my BB Cream or Covergirl’s Luxe Naturals.

-How about concealer?
*Maybelline Fit Me.

*No.

-Name a makeup crime that you hate?
*Not blending. Not matching. No precision. Harsh lines. Fake eyebrows.

-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?

101 Days of Summer: Day 48

This is my favorite font. Since late high school. I just think it describes me. To be honest, this isn’t what my handwriting looks like in real life. But still. I like it. =)

Today I woke up and didn’t have breakfast. Shame on me because I have some fresh fruit. I put away some clothes and organized my bra drawer. Maybe I should include a picture. Honest. I’m proud of it. Then I finally went through some stacks of paperwork that I had and also filed my coupons for tax deductions.

Chance and I stopped at Publix. Then had Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Although, I just ate a milkshake. Yup. With a spoon. Then we stopped by CVS. We walked around The Loop a little bit. And then were at the movies a little too early. We watched Transformers: Dark of the Moon. I’m not sure why it got such poor reviews. I liked it. I guess the fact that there’s a new girl. Or that it was mostly combat. idk. I’m no good at judging/critiquing [sp] movies. I just like them all. Haha.

Then when I got back I watched some videos and got up to date with my blogs. Such a relaxing day though I wish I would’ve painted my nails/taken a bath.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 49

We’re now officially more than halfway through Summer. How crazy is that?!?

If you read any of my last couple of blogs than you should know that I had my car fixed first thing this morning. It did require me to be on the phone with American Express for about 30 minutes thanks to a pending authorization, but oh well. At least I can now drive a car that has 4 wheels on it.

Carrie, Darius, Chance and I all stopped by Chick-Fil-A for some lunch. But we actually ate it back at home. The verdict for Casey Anthony came out today. The world was in utter shock. People were saying such harsh things. I say that God is the ultimate Judge and that "he who has not sinned shall cast the first stone". Then I had to get ready for work. Yesterday and today, Carrie made some yummy drinks that of course, I had to try before work. They were mostly mango, guava, pear, melon and banana mixes. =))

At work, I responded to a lot of the companies that had contacted me via etsy. And for some reason the night went by quickly. Thank goodness. I watched an episode of Hardcore Pawn for the first time during my lunch break and talked with Matt a bit.

I wasn’t sure what I had a craving for that night (probably chocolate milk) but we didn’t have any milk. So I ate a cookie and went to sleep.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 50

Happy 4th of July!!!

It was a little crazy for me to see how many people were saying things like “Happy 4th of July” and whatnot on facebook today. I basically didn’t log on for that purpose. Same with Twitter.

Woke up early and called car places to see if anyone was open to fix my car which now definitely needed at least 2 new tires. Nobody answered. =(
Then I spent the rest of the morning tried to find a ride to/from work. Contacted Derek, Jodi, Jovie, and Will. Tom had a funeral. Christy worked opposite hours and today is her BIRTHDAY! Finally I got a few yeses. Is that really the plural of yes? Weird.

I made chocolate chunk cookies while Chance did some cleaning. Derek picked me up from the McDonald’s. I gave him a cookie as a thank you. I also gave 3 to Christy for her birthday. =)

I spent about 7 hours at work today on etsy. Honest. That’s literally all I did today. Haha. Lunch/dinner was free. It wasn’t great, but I didn’t care because it was free. It was also nice to talk to Ivette. And even though I’m having issues with my car, I was still in a good mood today.

Came home exhausted though. Seems like that’s been a big trend for me lately.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 51

Today I woke up with a plan. In between cleaning, I was getting ready for a lovely massage. Carrie and I went to Massage Envy. It was her first time. I used one of my pre-paids on her but she had to pay an additional $10. I had my first hot-stone massage. It was definitely relaxing. I loved it. I like the heat. I’m weird like that. Que: burning hot showers. Haha.

Then it was time for work. Boo. I left a little late. But didn’t really leave. My tire got flat, and I was riding on the rim. It was HORRIBLE. I couldn’t even leave my apartment complex. The spare tire’s already being used (Chance switched a bent tire yesterday.) So… yeah. Luckily, Carrie was there and gave me a ride.

So of course I was stressing at work. I don’t like when things break. Especially, especially on my car. And of course, it’s the weekend. And of course, everything’s going to be closed for the 4th of July. Great.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 52

I really need to get on track with this. I was thinking about it, and I should’ve done the “countdown” the other way. Because now it seems like I’m counting down the days until school starts as if that’s what I’m most excited about. Which, to be completely honest, I am. I can’t wait for the colors and the scents and the feeling and the excitement of that time. I’m such a nerd. Haha. I can’t believe this will be my last school year. At least until if I ever decided to get a Master’s.

Anyways, after getting home at a ridiculous time yet again last night, I slept in a little bit. Worked 3-11:30, a typical shift. It went by fairly quickly thanks to it being a weekend and all.

No idea where the rest of the night lead.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 53

Happy July!!!

Oh my, oh my, how times are flying. I have no idea where June went. And don’t remind me about May. At least I had some travelling done in June. This month is nothing but work. Blah.

I didn’t wake up early today. Usually I like to wake up before work with enough time to go online for a bit. That didn’t happen. I had to rush a bit to apply my makeup, but in my opinion, I think I looked fabulous. Friday’s are spirit days at Nickelodeon which means we wear green. So of course, I wore green makeup. I wore MAC’s Sweet & Punchy all over the lid and MAC’s Humid in the outer corner/crease.

I didn’t have much time for breakfast even though I was thinking about making an egg sandwich on an English muffin. So I poured myself some guava juice thinking that would do it. While driving, I realized that a. I don’t like straight guava juice or b. I need to throw away my tin tumbler thing. It was a bit too bitter. So I didn’t really have breakfast. (Not like guava juice alone is breakfast to begin with.)

By lunchtime, I was starving. So even though it was raining, I walked over to my car and drove to Wendy’s. They were the cheapest and since Nickelodeon messed up and didn’t pay me what they should’ve yesterday, I don’t have much extra cash laying around. I ate 2 jr. cheeseburgers, a value fry, and a value frosty. I definitely think I ate too quickly because then I wasn’t feeling too well.

The day went by quickly at work since it was so busy. I guess that’s the only positive for working on weekends. I left on time and stopped by the bank on the way home. I then uploaded my tweets for HerCampus on HootSuite and got ready for Training. I didn’t dress up, but knew I was getting recognized today, so I put on a nice blouse.

I got there right on time, even though my car was shaking pretty much the whole way there. I really need to get that fixed. (Alignment.) We had free pizza and soda because we beat a goal last week. Yay for food. *free. I got PROMOTED to Senior Representative!!! Yay me. More to come. Winking smile

Afterwards, Sergio, Chance and I went to Rob’s house. We went over some policies and I was so pleased with myself. I’d never seen one before but I knew where to find information and what the numbers meant, and what the contract was saying. That made me feel good. Most people would get bored off this stuff, but it just excites me. Didn’t end up getting home until about 2:30am. I had some chocolate milk and then went to sleep.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 54

I spent so much time on the computer today. And I’m okay with that because sometimes it can be productive.

I had a 12:00 appointment for a massage. I watch the minutes before and after and I’m usually not happy about it not being exactly one hour. I had a new lady this time and I asked her for deep tissue, but I feel like she killed me. It hurt, and I did tell her a couple times. But afterwards I felt like I had bruises everywhere. Blahhh. Scheduled a Hot Stone Massage next. I’ve never done that before, so we’ll have to see how it goes.

When I got back home, I read a lot on katheats, theknot, and thebump. I’m not even engaged. And I’m definitely not pregnant. I just loved reading people’s stories and thoughts. Even people whom I don’t know. Because of katheats, I downloaded Windows Live Writer and Photo Gallery. I love her blog. She’s inspiring to me.

Then I went to Ulta because the Ulta points expired today. I’ll post a blog about what I purchased later. I also went to Publix since today’s Thursday and a new sales week started. Again, blog post will be up soon.

Once at home, I tried cleaning a bit. Then I read some more. Fell asleep writing a blog. Got a call around 1am from Chance saying he wasn’t coming back to Orlando and was staying in Ft. Lauderdale for the night. Got a text at 3:30am from a manager saying I work at 8 at the Front Desk that morning. Great.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 55

And finally a day off. (From work that is.) I’m glad that I’ve been having my days off together lately. But that’s not the case in a couple weeks. Oh well.

Slept in a little. Then organized the apartment a bit. We have so much stuff now. Our living room looked like couch central. But that got fixed. Chance and I were in the zone for cleaning and organizing and a lot of time went by. Delvys came over and Chance reviewed some things with him. I was done getting ready, so I touched up my nail polish: gargantuan green grape in matte by OPI.

By this time we were running late for our 2:00 appointment. So I contacted John and had that moved to 10:00. Once in Tampa, we went to a Pawn Shop and got rid of some things that Ashley and Jesse had left behind. Easiest cash ever. Afterwards, we met up with Chance’s dad, Raul, and went to a Mongolian Buffet for lunch. It was nice. My favorite was the sushi. And they could make you any kind of sushi you wanted. And they even had real ice cream, where normal buffets usually have the soft kind from the machine. We stopped by Caliente after that to look at Chance’s grandfather’s Memorial Garden. I hadn’t realized before that the bridge was a Memorial bridge. Even though it was starting to rain, I took a moment to take it all in. It was so peaceful and serene. And all of those people that had passed away were somebody. They meant something to someone. #ithinktoomuch

After Raul paid to fill up our gas, we had about an hour so Chris (Jay) met us at Target and we walked around. Chance had gotten soaking wet by this point, mind you. I had just gotten my (Carrie’s) heels wet. I got some chocolate milk to drink and practically gulped the thing down. I love chocolate milk. Especially if it’s organic. It’s literally like a dessert for me.

When time was up, we were on our way to meet with Jenny, Phil and Baby Phil. It was so nice to see her again. Promise, it’s been more than 7 years. It felt like we were still close friends though. Such a great feeling. She is doing an amazing job or raising her baby. Who by the way is the most adorable little boy ever. Honestly, I’m hoping to maintain a relationship with them. I’d love to be there to see their little one grow. Anyways, the presentation went well. I was able to learn about different ways to answer questions, which was good. We were there a little too long, but it’s all good. I could spend all my time helping other learn about all this stuff. I feel that everyone should know what we teach.

So then we went to Steak & Shake at 11:00 to meet with John. I felt so bad because our original appointment was set for 2:00 and we had to keep changing it on him. He was okay with it all. And I honestly hadn’t given him enough information before either. We got some shakes and Chance started the presentation. It went well too. He didn’t have too many questions, but it could be that he was just overwhelmed with all the information. He decided to join right there and then. Chance laptop didn’t have much battery. And his Palm wasn’t working properly. But we took the information anyways. *PS: George & Maritsa ended up going to S&S while we were there. It was nice seeing George again because of all the times I go home, I never really see him. Plus, it was good for him to see that we’re (Chance and I ) really doing this. At all hours and locations.

I drove home. No idea how I made it. I was falling asleep at the wheel. Came home at 4am. Exhausted.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 56

So now it’s Tuesday. Which if you look at the current pattern, means that I work at 3pm. Ugh, I liked my previous patter better.

So I slept in until 10am today. Sergio called to wake me up. Sprint was having some minor issues with mine & Chance’s phones. But we fixed it. Then we went and rented a U-Haul since today is Chance’s moving day.

I came back home and got ready for work. Worked 3-11:30pm. Surprisingly, there was no parking in our Team Member lot. So I had to park on property. Of course, the weather was rainy again. What else would you believe? I started becoming friends with the guests though. Before, I would not be happy with them because I would get annoyed at always hearing the same questions, or them not thinking etc. But now, I just try my hardest to put myself in their shoes and think about how I would personally react to certain things they were put through, etc. So I talked with a six-year-old girl, Alexis Athena, today. She spoke a few words of Greek which was super cute to hear. Then later on that night she walked by and said “goodnight” in Greek. She’s such a sweetheart. Then I talked a bit with a lady whose ex-husband is Greek. She brought down her kids later on so that I could meet them and I help her 6 month old baby girl a few times as well.

After work, I went to Chance’s and helped him finish moving. We then said goodbye to Jesse and Ashley. I know I didn’t hang out with them much, but I am going to miss them. It’s weird to think about Chapters in our life. But even so, that was a pleasant one. I will forever owe them for how much they helped Chance during his hospitalization and surgery. They were truly a blessing to him and I.

By this point, Chance and I were exhausted so we went straight to sleep.

101 Days of Summer: Day 57

Slept in a little today. Wasted some time online. Took a shower late. Got ready for work. Worked 3-11:30. Phone died in the process. Jodi took me to Ale House. Met up with Christy. Ordered a pitcher of Red Sangria. Then Evan, Felos, Pim, and Chris joined. We all shared some loaded fries. Then we got some Smirnoff Martinis. I got a VIP card. Christy took me home around 2am. Went straight to bed.

101 Days of Summer: Day 58

Worked 7:45-4:15. After work, Chance and I stopped at a gas stations (7-11) where I changed. Chance had stopped by my house and picked up a couple options for me to wear. Now that I think about it, I wish I had done an OOTD. Oh well.

We then drove to Bradenton for his grandmother's 80th birthday party. We got there late (only because I worked late.) It was a nice gathering. I had some nice drinks (guava & vodka) while Chance stuck to beers. Chance and I stayed late (until 10ish) after others had left. We got home around 12:30am.

*This time I have a picture, but due to some internal error with Blogger, I can't upload any.

101 Days of Summer: Day 59

So I closed last night. And I opened this morning. Sounds about right. Stopped at Chick-Fil-A for breakfast. I ordered the chicken minis. I was craving them. Odd. I also got a large sweet tea. (Which I didn't ended up drinking completely, as always.) And I got a free thing of hash browns. I gave those away once at work.

Today was pretty busy at work. I worked for about 9 hours straight. Did not get a lunch break. I was in an okay mood. But then when I was getting ready to leave, a manager said something to me. And I wasn't like in trouble or anything. I guess it's the way he said it. I acted nonchalant when he said it. But then I felt like crying. I got like embarassed and angry. So odd.

I was in a weird state afterwards. No idea what was going on. Ended up going to Panda Express with Chance. Shook it off a little there. I was starving and ate a lot. Then we stopped at RedBox and got some movies. We then watched "No Strings Attached" and "From Prada to Nada." They were good. I like movies. You all know that. It was kinda early (maybe like 10pm) but I went to sleep anyways. I knew I had a long day awaiting me.

Until tomorrow,

101 Days of Summer: Day 60

Are you loving my long entries? Haha.

It's Friday, Friday! ...and I'm working tonight.

I haven't worked a Friday night since maybe December. I can't do Friday nights because I go to Training (as you all know) in Tampa. But I was scheduled. So I went in. Not too happy about it. Not only was I working a Friday night, but they scheduled me at the Front Desk. CRAZYYY. Fridays are the worst for check-ins. It gets extremely busy. Lines out the door all day. And then rooms don't get ready. So guests get mad. And then when all that finally settles, say around 6. Then we don't have any rooms so guests don't get the rooms they booked. So again, mad people. And then finally, we sell out so we don't have any rooms at all. Which means guests made reservations to stay here... and they don't get to. Yeah, imagine having to be the one to tell someone that. Blah.

At least I got to take a break. With all the craziness, I needed a drink. And no, not rum again. A Starbucks Frap. I used to be addicted to Starbucks. Not really like addicted. I just used to drink it at least twice a day. Honest. Then I stopped due to realizing how much money I was actually spending there. Not like it was a lot. I don't think they're expensive. But I didn't have any money at all. So that was an issue.

Anyways, same night, Sasha, Rachael and McKenzie spent the night at my apartment. Wish I could've been there. I need me some girl time. They did face masks and painted their nails. Ugh, I need to paint my nails.

I went to Chance's around 12am. He wasn't there. Tried staying up, but I passed out. I'm pretty sure he got there around 1am. Either way, I was exhausted.

Until tomorrow,

101 Days of Summer: Day 61

Today I woke up early just to take a test. Boo. But I had to pass (with an 80%) in order to get my next state exam paid for (if I failed this one.) I took that test 5 times. These were my scores: 71, 75, 79, 76, 84. At least I was averaging a 77%. That's good.

So then I got ready and went to the Pearson Vue testing center. I got there early and thought I'd have time to study. I didn't. You're not allowed to study. I had to lock up all my belongings. While taking the test, I thought I was going to fail. Honest. They were asking questions about SEC and FINRA and laws and ethics. I just don't know that stuff. I have product knowledge. (At least that's what I thought.) Afterwards, they gave me my certificate. I glanced at it quickly and it said I passed!!!! I got so excited, but wanted to contain myself. Once I left the building, I checked and it said I got a 75%! *You only needed a 70% to pass the state exam. FINALLY I'm licensed. =D First thing I did was call my mom. She was proud of me. Then I told Chance. He told the team. I got some congratulatory texts. Then I called Rob and told him. 11 months later. Hah!

Afterwards, I stopped by Publix to pick up some popsicles and Ramen for Chance. He's still sick and that's all he wanted. While there, I picked up some cereal and Tampico juice too. Then I stopped by McD's and got myself a small frappe that I was craving all day yesterday.

I relaxed at home for a bit and then went back out for some errands. I stopped by Kinko's (now called FedEx Office.) I printed a document (8 pages) and then faxed some pages. It wasn't that expensive and the guy working there was nice. Their (only) fax machine was slow. But oh well. Then I went to ABC and got some rum. I've learned lately that I like rum. It doesn't bother me and the flavors I get taste good. There is currently an $8 mail-in rebate if your purchase 2, so at the price of $10 each, I purchased two. The flavors I got were melon (fave) and banana.

I got home the same time Matt was pulling up. Once home, I watched a bit of a movie Chance was watching. I think it was called "Pool Money" or something... Then Carrie invited us to dinner & a movie (Super 8). But then we decided to make dinner ourselves. Pasta, to be exact. Carrie, Matt and I made dinner. Okay... mostly just Carrie. We had pasta, corn, and garlic bread with Mango Tampico Juice and Banana Rum. The banana made it really really sweet. But oh well. Since we had some time, Carrie and I filmed a Goodwill Makeup Haul video in her room. Then Chance wasn't feeling too good, so him and I decided not to go to the movies. I don't remember what I actually ended up doing, but I was up late regardless.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine

101 Days of Summer: Day 62

I was pretty productive today. I had a To-Do List and I made sure to cross some items off. I took a relaxing shower and then went to a free Coupon class at Nickelodeon. Afterwards, it seemed like time flew by.

The class was taught by Couponer's United. This is the website. It was okay. I didn't learn much. I'm already an avid couponer. I learned, though, that stores get an additional 8 cents on every manufacturers coupon they receive. I also learned that at CVS and Walgreens, the makeup counter person gets paid commission on every transaction... so they actually like you doing multiple transactions there. Lastly, I learned that I can have up to 6 subscriptions for a newspaper and that newspaper subscriptions get first dibs on coupons. Hope you learned something new.

Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine
