Sally Hansen: Frock Star

Hi lovelies,

So I swear I saw a BlogPost yesterday from Kandee Johnson saying that the Sephora by OPI nail art stickers are 1000x better than the Sally Hansen ones. And though I haven't actually tried the Sephora by OPI ones, I have to say that I kind of disagree with her statement. I've tried 2 of the Sally Hansen ones. The first one, I wasn't too fond of. I don't remember much about it, just knew I didn't actually love the pattern. But this week+ I had Frock Star on.

OMG! I was in love. So much glittery goodness!!!

Application:

Okay, this was a bit difficult. Partly because I didn't do it right. I don't really use the file they give you to cut off the excess, I just rip it. And that did cause some of the glitters to come off at the tip of my nail. I was fine with it. Also, you HAVE to take that plastic part off first or else it doesn't work at all. The sizes I had weren't perfect, but they still all worked just fine for me, with some trimming. Honestly though, my pinky nail one did fall off. Twice. I guess I suck on that one too much? idk. But I fixed it by painting it with a dark polish (as well as my tips) so it gave my nails a cool effect.

Wear & Tear:

Honestly, there wasn't much. I had the polish on for 6 days before I started picking at it. It looked amazing even on the sixth day. I got compliments on them EVERYWHERE! I had men at work comment on them, girls loved my nails, salon people asked me what shade/color I was using. My mom said they looked like "jewels" on my nails. I LOVED all the compliments. What I loved even more though is that they were stickers, there was no smell, no dry time needed. And they stayed on so long!

Taking Them Off:
I read another girls' blog who said that these were just like any other glitter polish bomb. I mostly picked all of them off, but then decided to do it properly with nail polish remover. BOY was she right! It took forever to do so with the nail polish remover, that I actually recommend just picking them off.

All of these pictures were taken on the last day (Day 6). You can see they still remained in good condition. Also, I didn't want the camera to focus on some of them, that way you can get the full effect of the shiny-ness. But honestly, they looked MUCH MUCH better in real life.

So I realize this is only one of the Sally Hansen ones. But I definitely recommend this one! I also think that the glitter helped it stay on so long. Have you girls tried these? What do you think?

PS: Someone made a comment about how expensive they are. (I think $10.) Especially since you clearly get 2-4 uses out of them. But I got mine for .99 cents at Goodwill. =)

Stay Beautiful,
LinaNina
