Happy Fall!

Hello beauties,

I hope you all have a fabulous Fall!!!

I'm so excited that this time is here now. Most years, I look forward to Spring/Summer. This year, I'm so excited about Fall/Winter. I'm excited for the weather, the clothes, the colors, the scents, the food, the holidays, the atmosphere, etc.

Usually Fall reminds me of my dad's birthday, and him leaving us. But this year, I'm surprised to say I'm excited for the new seasons to come. My dad passed away unexpectedly a couple weeks ago, so I know Fall will always be a sad time in my life, but that doesn't mean I have to hate the months completely. Maybe that brought some closure; I'm not sure. I'll probably post a update about that later.

Anyways, I'm posting some pictures below for you all to enjoy. Let me know what your favorite thing about Fall is in the comments!

Until next time,
Selina Christine

Sally Hansen: Frock Star

Hi lovelies,

So I swear I saw a BlogPost yesterday from Kandee Johnson saying that the Sephora by OPI nail art stickers are 1000x better than the Sally Hansen ones. And though I haven't actually tried the Sephora by OPI ones, I have to say that I kind of disagree with her statement. I've tried 2 of the Sally Hansen ones. The first one, I wasn't too fond of. I don't remember much about it, just knew I didn't actually love the pattern. But this week+ I had Frock Star on.

OMG! I was in love. So much glittery goodness!!!

Application:

Okay, this was a bit difficult. Partly because I didn't do it right. I don't really use the file they give you to cut off the excess, I just rip it. And that did cause some of the glitters to come off at the tip of my nail. I was fine with it. Also, you HAVE to take that plastic part off first or else it doesn't work at all. The sizes I had weren't perfect, but they still all worked just fine for me, with some trimming. Honestly though, my pinky nail one did fall off. Twice. I guess I suck on that one too much? idk. But I fixed it by painting it with a dark polish (as well as my tips) so it gave my nails a cool effect.

Wear & Tear:

Honestly, there wasn't much. I had the polish on for 6 days before I started picking at it. It looked amazing even on the sixth day. I got compliments on them EVERYWHERE! I had men at work comment on them, girls loved my nails, salon people asked me what shade/color I was using. My mom said they looked like "jewels" on my nails. I LOVED all the compliments. What I loved even more though is that they were stickers, there was no smell, no dry time needed. And they stayed on so long!

Taking Them Off:
I read another girls' blog who said that these were just like any other glitter polish bomb. I mostly picked all of them off, but then decided to do it properly with nail polish remover. BOY was she right! It took forever to do so with the nail polish remover, that I actually recommend just picking them off.

All of these pictures were taken on the last day (Day 6). You can see they still remained in good condition. Also, I didn't want the camera to focus on some of them, that way you can get the full effect of the shiny-ness. But honestly, they looked MUCH MUCH better in real life.

So I realize this is only one of the Sally Hansen ones. But I definitely recommend this one! I also think that the glitter helped it stay on so long. Have you girls tried these? What do you think?

PS: Someone made a comment about how expensive they are. (I think $10.) Especially since you clearly get 2-4 uses out of them. But I got mine for .99 cents at Goodwill. =)

101 Days of Summer: Day 4

OMG. How am I at Day 4 left of Summer?!? Time always flies by. =)

I woke up early and went to work today. Go figure. 7:45am-4:45pm. I was starving that morning and even though I have a bunch of cereal boxes, I didn't have any milk. So I stopped at McD's and had a mocha frappe and a #1 sandwich. =)

Work was okay. Crazy, but that's normal. On the way home, I talked to Arianthi a bit. I miss her dearly. It's weird how time can do that too. Once home, I changed and then went to the Florida Mall. I went there hoping one of their two Victoria's Secret stores would have the Agenda that I had 2 years ago. Neither of them had it though. Bummer. So then I went to Lush and recycled 5 pots in order to get a free face mask. I got the Brazen Honey one (for the first time). There were so many things I wanted to purchase, but I'll do that another time. I then stopped at Sephora. My main reason was to ask if the points expire because I learned the hard way through Ulta that they do. But Sephora's don't. So that's good. I liked the point rewards, so I got a sample of the new UltraFlesh Panter mascara. I also got a DDH acne treatment. I loved the lady who checked me out. She was fun! And she made a comment about how she'd never had someone just go there and get freebies, but hey! there's a first for everything. =)

After the mall, Chance and I went to Olive Garden. I had coupons for Carabba's. And somehow I confused the two. But I think Olive Garden pretty price-worthy too. I got some Moscato and Strawberry Lemonade along with calamari for our appetizer. And we both got unlimited breadsticks, salad, and pasta. CRAZY!

Afterwards, I came home and watched a little bit of Sex and the City with Carrie. Then we went on a one-hour walk around the neighborhood and talked about life, weddings, graduationg, etc. It was nice to catch up with her. =)
Of course, my legs felt like jello after that so going up our stairs was no fun. We watched the end of "Sweet Home Alabama" while stretching on yoga mats then. And even though I was exhausted like crazy, I still stayed up past 2am. Mainly looking for an agenda. I looked at Vera Bradley, Lilly Pulitzer, Victoria's Secret, Sarah Pinto, etc. But found nothing. Then Kayla and I talked on the phone a little and she asked if I NEEDED a new one. So I looked at my old Lilly one from last year, and it turns out that that one doesn't finish until December. So even though I'd like a new one, I technically DON'T need one.
Until tomorrow,
Selina Christine
