First off, can I just start off by saying that I’ve missed blogging oh so so much?! I honestly remember the nights where I would have loved nothing more than to just sit in bed and type my thoughts away. But of course, time and excuses got the best of me.
So here we are now. In need of a complete update with my life. Honestly, if I were to simply describe all the events of the past month, we’d pretty much be up-to-date on all things Selina Christine.
I GRADUATED! That’s pretty big news. I definitely don’t think it’s sunken (Sunk?) in yet. That was at the beginning of May, so yes, we’re going back two months now. But AH! It was all such a blur. I’m glad I decided to have a small photo-shoot beforehand. I loved seeing all my family come to such a special moment in my life. I’m the first in my family (including aunts/uncles/grandparents/cousins/siblings, etc.) to received a degree from a university. And I got two!
Since I went back a couple of months, there was also cinco de mayo. Yes, I celebrate it. ;) A bunch of girls went to Cocoa Beach for the day and got WAY too much sun. But it was definitely a fun adventure with everyone.
Then there was my 22nd birthday, which I spent with my family. I love them. I got a new laptop. (All flowery & girly & white.) And I also got my first Tiffany’s bracelet (which I returned & chose something much much simpler). And of course, my first Juicy Couture jewelry piece as well!
This month included many firsts for me. Outings. Venues. Locations. I went to Cowboys, House of Blues, and Chiller’s for the first time. (As seen in the pictures above). We celebrated Arianthi’s & Alexandra’s 21st birthdays! And it ended with my Graduation party and a wedding! (As seen in the pictures below.)
June also came and went, but there were three major occurrences:
1. I went to Chicago with most of the family. I love road trips & am totally looking forward to the ones to New York and North Carolina super soon!! I’ve also come to realize that I absolutely love each and every one of my family members. They’re each so unique, but together we have an amazing hold. I also love the hospitality and kindness of the friends we have there. Makes me that much more sad that I missed the weddings, recently, but so excited to visit much more often now. Here are some pictures from the trip.
2. I bought a car!!!!! I’m the first in the family (here in America) to ever buy a brand new car. What we usually have done is buy a used one completely after saving about $5K. But nope, not this time. The day we got back from Chicago, I went to a dealership and bought a 2013 Hyundai Elantra! Ahhh. So happy. =)
3. I got a new job!!!! This is probably the reason for the title of the blog. And quite possibly the biggest news out of everything I’ve mentioned in this post. I’m not the Event and Marketing Coordinator at Exhilarate Events! I could not be happier. I feel blessed. I thank God for this opportunity. I am 100% excited about everything. I honestly haven’t even started (had to give Nickelodeon 2 weeks) but I’m all smiles & beams about this. There will definitely be more updates on this as my life is about to change. Big Girl World, here I come. =D
Random Fact 1: Sure, this may start off boring, but fact is, it’s after 2am .My first day at Exhilarate is kind of tomorrow (or today, rather) and I’m so anxious and excited. My favorite thing right now is the new planner/agenda I’ve purchased.
Until next time,
Selina Christine <3
